Dalton is ON THE MOVE!! He is crawling and climbing all over the place, pulling himself up on everything and trying to walk. His new trick this weekend was climbing in the bed of Logans dump truck and then Logan would push him around the house. They had som much fun together until Logan dumped him out! Boys will be boys!

why oh why do Andrew and I think we can still do home improvement projects and cook nice dinners with two kids under feet?? Someday we will learn that they do not mix. We tried to install our TV outside today which went very well considering but then Dalton woke up early from his nap and we were busted! Then later we wanted to cook a little better dinner than normal ... nothing too fancy but AHH!! too hard with 2 kids - then I have too much to clean up. someday we will learn. Everyone is doing great here - Grammie King left Friday and we were all super sad! Mom survived Reno - another convention!

Stay at Home Mom

I've had a little taste of being a stay at home mom this week ... I took Thursday-Monday off to spend time with my guys and it has been a blast. On Friday we had a playdate at our neighbors with her 2 girls, Saturday we went to see Uncle Marc (Cassies other half) at the Fire Station in Shaver, then lunch and home. Sunday was a lot of time playing in the yard and around the house! Good times were had by all! Don't worry I don't have any plans of becoming a stay at home mom ... I would be too tired.

New Year ..... New Goals!

Sorry to everyone out there checking out blog ... I have kind of fallen off the deep end for the last few months! Never Fear ... WE ARE BACK!! With the new year comes new goals and it is mine to update the blog every Sunday after the boys have gone to sleep - lofty goal I know but I going to really try to get it done!

Let me catch you up ....
Andrew started a new job with Foster Farms (again) in July and loves it. He has been super busy with it and has been keeping busy with projects at the house. Don't worry he still gets to play with Jeff every chance he can.

Lauri has been busy at work! We all survived the Fair thanks to amazing Grandparents who came to stay with Andrew and the Boys and a killer Aunt Cassie who took come weekdays and weekends leading up to Fair.

Logan is 21 months old and going on 10! He knows it all and will tell you how to do it. He is ALL BOY! Loves tractors, dirt, dogs and getting dirty - not to mention his Dad - who is the most amazing person in the world to him!

Dalton is 7 months old and wishes he was 21 months old so he could keep up with Logan! He is crawling up a storm and into everything. Dalton LOVES squash and Chill - he can watch Chill for hours! I have made Chill sit in his bed and put Dalton right in front of the bed to just watch Chill for a few minutes of peace (it works!)

Chill is still not sure about 2 brothers and it think wishes for the days when it was only him - he loves the new fenced backyard!

All in all we are doing great just trying to keep up with two crazy active boys, our house - which we are still doing projects to, and work! I can honestly say we are truly blessed to have our amazing boys and the great life we do!

We finally had to cut some of the curls off! Logan did great an got to sit in a little yellow taxi cab while watching the wiggles - that is the life. The hair lady could not get over how curly his hair is and kept saying how cute it is. I wonder if Logan will think that when he is in high school and his friends have nicknames for his hair?

Little Pony Man

Logan has a little rocking horse that John & Sheryl got him when he was born. He has finally started to figure out how to get on it. When you push his ears he plays a little song and is mouth moves along with it. Logan loves to stick his fingers into his mouth while he is talking and he also tried to give him his binkie. Dalton Andrew King

Dalton was born on Friday, May 29th at 12:12pm! He came bounding in to the world quickly and easily (which was GREAT for both mom & dad). Dalton weighed 8 lbs and was 21 1/4 inches long with dark brown hair and a lot of it. He is doing great and we all came home on Saturday. Logan is adjusting very well and likes to just look at his little brother. Both sets of grandparents have seen him and think he is just as great as Logan. Here are a few pictures of our boys ...

Logan thinks that everything in the house is his (most of it is) and Chill is going crazy because the latest Logan claim is Chill's bed. The night before Logan's first birthday both Andrew & I were scrambling around to get everything ready for his big day. Andrew was puting together a wagon until 10pm and I was wrapping presents just as long. I also made him his birthday cake over on the coast that weekend and I say that I out did my wildest expections and I am very proud of my cake. Allie helped me with the yellow part of the cake - she did a great job.

VIVA LA MEXICO!!!

So way back in February my Dad took the Family to Cancun, Mexico! It was a great trip, not quite as relaxing as we would have like (it is next to impossible to travel with a then 11 monh old) but still an awesome time . Logan did great on the plane and LOVED being in the pool. Marc's favorite part were the ruins that we went to see, they were pretty amazing. Grandpa's favorite part was kicking back with Logan and having a beer in the pool - funny that was Andrew's favorite part too! Grammie was in heaven being with Logan - her one and only little guy!! As for me my favorite part was being with my kick ass family. This was the first Family vacation we had been on since I turned 16. Andrew, Marc and Dad enjoyed 2 trips to the golf course and mom & I had a great time at the Spa and painting mexician art.

Logan's First Christmas!

Well Logan's first Christmas was a HUGE success!! He loved the boxes and wrapping paper! His favorite item was a tooth brush that my mom gave him out of her stocking - he is still chewing on it. All in all it was a great day and fun was had by all. I cooked for the family - yes that is correct I cooked it all, potatoes, green bean casserole, peas, prime rib, honey glazed ham, pumpkin pie, pretzel jello and the works!! It was a lot of work but nice to have the Family together!

Who Loves the Snow .... Not Logan!

The weekend before Christmas Andrew and I took the kids up the hill to the Snow. We went up to Huntington Lake which is above Shaver and Sierra Summit. There was a few feet of snow and it was a little cold. We took Chill's ball and let him chase it around all the while Logan had a frown on his face - I don't think he like the cold and wet but he was going to play in the snow and like it! The best part of the snow was that my friend Kristen and her Family were at the snow park we stopped at getting ready to go snow mobiling! What are the chances?? They are from Atascadero and had left early that morning and we just woke up and wanted to take the boys to the snow. We pulled into this snow park and saw all of the snow mobiles and were going to turn around and find another park (we didn't want to look like big dorks playing ball with our kid and dog in the snow) but Andrew recognized Kristen's Dad and then her mom cam running over to the truck to see Logan! We had a blast visiting with them and watching them get ready for a day snow mobiling! By the end of the snow time Logan had a smile on his face and was enjoying it! We also found a great little bar on Huntington Lake! Good food and great drinks - we will be going back in the summer to sit by the lake and enjoy a few drinks!

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma

We left Fresno on Friday, November 21 for a week in Oklahoma with Steve, Laura, Zeb, Andrea, Colton and Sawyer! It was a great time. We got to do a lot of eating (Steve's favorite sport), visiting and laughing. It was so fun to have the kids together ... they had a blast. Colton is a funny little man and all over the place - his favorite thing it to go on jeep rides. Sawyer is a quite little guy and you almost forget he is there because he is so quite and content - he really is just a happy guy with his two middle fingers in his mouth!

Logan was in heaven playing with the boys and being spoiled by Grammie & Papa King! He also got to see Andrew's Grandparents from Michigan - it was the first time they had seen Logan and Sawyer.

We went to caves in Missouri one day and then to the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield! WOW - my first trip to a shop like that. Andrew had so much fun looking around and dreaming.

The best part of the trip was being with the Family and just visiting. We miss them so much! Here are pictures form the trip ....

Our little guy has had a busy few weeks! He has started to become much more mobile!! Logan has the army crawl down pat ... and is getting into everything. Here are a few pictures of him. Last week we had some mommy - Logan time with Cousins Joni, Allie and Andrew! As soon as Joni gets me the pictures I will post a few or you can view Joni's blog. We went shoe shopping and I finally found some that fit his double E wide foot (thanks Grandpa Steve). The next day we went to the Zoo - Allie had a blast and could tell us all of the animals and the sounds they make. Like I said earlier I am the Slacker mom who left the camera in the car so Joni took pictures and as soon as she emails them to me I will post them!

Lobster Anyone????

Logan was a lobster for Halloween and had a great time. He came to work with me and brought the girls in the office cookies and we took a field trip to maintenance to show off the great costume and give them cookies too. He was a great lobster and loved his costume.

After work we went to Eric & Erin's house to hang out with them and the boys for Halloween! The boys all had a great time, Robert was the trick or treat master and handed out candy to everyone that came by. Robert was a cowboy with a horse, Brice was a monkey and then our little lobster! A good time was had by all!

Back from the Fair

Okay -I know we have been a little out of commission for a few months and I am super sorry for that (I'm pretty sure the only ones who check the blog are Joni and Jessica). Now that the Fair is over let me update me on our lives!!

Logan took his fist plane trip to New Jersey to see Uncle Teddy play FRESNO STATE in football - it was a great trip, Logan was amazing on the airplane (as predicted he was easier to travel with than Andrew). We had a blast with all of the Family and New York was simply amazing, we decided that when we go for another game that we will stay in New York and take the train to the game. By the way the was when Fresno State was winning -

Logan went in for his 6 month check - he is in the 105% for EVERYTHING!! What a healthy boy! He does not miss any meals!

Fast forward a week or so and unexpectedly we got to see the King Family from Oklahoma - everyone was out for a brief day or so for a family thing - it was great to see Steve and Laura but even better to see Zeb, Andrea and the Boys! They are both so cute - there are pictures of the three boys! It just got Andrew and I excited for our trip to Oklahoma in November.

This brings us to the middle of September when I started working like a mad man! All I can say is kudos to Andrew - Dad extraordinaire! He did an amazing job and I was able to focus on work. The Fair went exceptionally well - Stacy & I kept looking at each other trying to figure out what we were forgetting - come to find out it was nothing! We are just getting that good at our jobs! My mom came up for a large part of the Fair and was a huge help! Thank God for Grammie! She brought Logan to the Fair each day she was here so I could see him because I moved to the Fair September 30th. All in all everything was great this year and Andrew, Logan & I all survived!

Andrew had his 30th birthday during the Fair - you know you are old when you get a battery operated grease gun for the tractor and you are so excited! He has not used it yet but i know he is ready to!

My Dad's birthday was last week and we went to the coast to surprise him on Saturday! It was a fun trip, our 2nd child Cassie went with us so it was a full car. When we have another kid we're going to need a bigger car. Logan got to play with Grammie, Papa and great grandma Carolyn. He also got so see GG and Great Grandpa King while we were there! Joni we went to Tortilla Town Sunday - WOW!! it was yummy! I have been craving it all day!

I will try to be better and update everyone with the Crazy King Family Life weekly! Joni is coming over next week so I am sure we will do something fun and I will have pictures to show!

Logan and Chill and quickly become the best of buds! In the beginning I think Chill was alright with Logan but now he is loving him. Logan is laughing and playing with him and they both are always watching each other. When I was giving Logan a bath on Sunday Chill kept coming into the bathroom and looking over the side of the bath tub at Logan - it was super cute so Andrew took a picture of it. Chill usually hates the bath tub because he HATES baths but he could not get enough of Logan squealing and splashing in the tub. Then yesterday he gave him little kisses before we went to work! Our boys love each other!

CA Mid State Fair

A few weeks ago i made the trip over to the Central Coast for the BELOVED CMSF!! It was just Logan and I and we had a lot to accomplish both for work and play. I am not tooting my kids horn but I could have set up a meet Logan King booth and we would still have a line! He was a huge hit and we ran all over town so that Grammie B could show him off (this was the first time we were there on a week day). Dad and Marc BBQ'd at Cattlemens Day and it was GREAT! Grandma Carolyn's & Treva's building was beautiful and the flower building was pretty awesome too (nice job Jacky). We got to see lots of familiar faces from The Central Coast and Fresno - I had meeting with a few people for the BFF. All in all it was a great time - we caught up with Bob & Rhonda at their favorite beer booth and even stopped by Stinchfield in Atascadero to see the Borba clan. As I said we were BUSY!! I am a slacker and did not take pictures that anyone wants to see (except John of the waterfall and the Clydesdale painting) so again i am going to piggyback off MOM OF THE MONTH!! Joni she has some great pictures on her blog!

Mom's Night Out!!

We got to hang out with Bob, Charlie, Nikki, Tyler and Lindsay on Sunday morning for a little while, Rhonda was at the motel keeping everyone in order! Andrew helped work a few calves and doctor eyes while i entertained Logan. He had a blast watching the cows and being outside. Pictures of the fun outing!

Aunt T's Fab Job!!

Teresa has a great job in a fantastic winery in San Luis Obispo - we decided on Saturday to put our stamp of approval on their wine. Teresa sure knows her stuff and impressed us all with her knowledge of the vino. We all sampled some and Dad and I even bought a few bottles. You know it's good wine when Dad passes up a beer for wine. She works for Sextant Wines the vineyard is located is Templeton but the tasting room is located on South Higuea in San Luis Obispo - if you want to go tasting Teresa works Tuesday-Saturday!! It was a lot of fun and Andrew & I decided that we needed to go on a wine tasting trip in Paso Robles - if anyone wants to go let me know!

This is old news for anyone in Fresno or anyone who pays attention to college sports but here you have it ... 2 weeks ago the Fresno State baseball team won the College World Series!! This was a first for the program and they were the worst seated teams in any college sport to win a championship EVER! Very big for Fresno! Andrew quickly (like most Fresno residents) became a baseball watcher - we watched every game - and they played so great. Logan got to watch baseball too, were hoping that by watching sports he will pick something up! Below are pictures for Andrew & Logan - notice Logan's Bulldog (blue & red) jammies! Past Due Post

Sorry about the lack of blogging going on, with me back to work we have been even busier! Things are going great with us - Steve and Laura we here for a few weeks and that was SUPER FUN!! We love and miss them so much and Logan had a blast with them. The only down side to Steve coming is that Andrew always has Dad projects that end up costing me money - oh well at leas they get done and done correctly. This trip we got our swamp cooler installed and running, it should cut our power bill down a lot and it makes the house really cold - last night Andrew had it down to 66 when we went to bed. I was freezing.

Logan is getting big and we are having so much fun with him - he is moving all over, kicking and grabbing. He is also smiling a lot and laughing too - it's crazy how much he is changing and how fast.
I will get more on the ball and get more posts up!

We are in the process of planting grass in the front and back of the house - this is Andrew's big project but for some reason i always have to end up helping (ie: Tile Cleaning Business) - so yesterday we were working on the backyard -

I know that I am biased but he sure is cute!! This was his nap time and he slept for quite a while so we could get the lawn planted. Logan is doing GREAT!! Sleeping trough the night and doing really well with daycare.

Logan is at daycare and so far we all see to be doing well. Logan is getting big and interacting with us so much. He smiles and laughs, he can tell the difference between mommy and daddy's voices and he even recognized Grammie B's voice last week when my mom came to visit. We have been enjoying all of our precious moments with him - time is going so fast before we know it he will be a little boy off to school.

We finally got the house painted! It took a little over a year but the with the siding done we were ready to go! The gutters come in about a month and then we will be done with the outside of the house. We still love our house and a so happy that we made the move from Kerman - the challenge now is trying to balance working on the house with spending time with Logan! We are getting better and just making Logan be outside in the stroller while we work on our many home improvement projects!

What I miss the MOST

I am alright with the post baby body, the fact that I don't get much sleep anymore and that my shower is like 30 seconds long but what I miss the most is getting things done. Who would have thought that it would take me ALL DAY to finish collecting the trash and getting it to the dumpster or that unloading the dish washer would take 3 hours or that the vacuum could sit in the hall way for a day and I still didn't get it done. Who would have thought it - well anyone who has kids. The simplest of tasks takes hours and days to complete. Andrew and I wonder if we will ever get projects done at the house again. Like the post beofre this, it took me almost an hour to get it up.

Another thing that I miss terribly is reading - i will figure out how to have a Logan and enjoy a good book - I am determined to!

Sorry it has been a while - here are some new pictures of Logan. We went to the doctor last week and he now weighs 11lbs7oz, is 23 1/2 inches long and doing very well. If we could only get the sleeping and nap time down it we would be loving life.

Opps! It has almost been a month since our last post -sorry! We have been crazy busy with guests and I have been working a little. Everyone is doing GREAT! Logan is growing and goes to the doctor Wednesday. I will post new pictures tomorrow!

Our First Night Out

Friday night we met a group of friends and went out to dinner, it was our first group outing since Logan. We met Eric & Erin with their kids Robert (almost 2) and Bryce (13 weeks), Jeff & Lindsay and Dusty. As we walked into the restaurant with 2 car seats, a toddler and husbands ready to have a good time I started to question what we were doing but it all turned out great! I got a fantastic meal (we went to Basque food - yum) and Logan was a perfect angle sleeping all through dinner. Baby Bryce was not as happy and Erin had to spend most of her time walking with him which made Robert unhappy because his mom was gone! I decided that 2 kids might be too much work for me! AHH! One is hard enough right now. The best part of dinner was that people kept coming up to see the babies and asking if they were twins - oh sure the 18lb Bryce and the 8lb Logan are twins. Jeff had the best comment when people said this - yeah its just like the move twins - Bryce is Arnold and Logan is Danny Divito! So our first night out with a kid was successful!!

Logan's First Play Date

Logan had his first play date with someone other than Chill last Friday! The picture below is his exciting day. We went over to Eric & Erin's house to hang out and the result was cute! Robert (almost 2) was the entertainment and played with the babies while Bryce (13 weeks) and Logan just slept! it was cute! You will notice that Bryce is at least twice as big as Logan - it was weird to hold him after Logan - I can't wait for Logan to get that big and not be so fragile.

A new found respect

So three weeks in to it and this being my first week ALONE! I have a new deep respect for every mom out there! This is by far the toughest thing I have ever done and am only into it three weeks! AHHH! But seriously moms have a tough job - you have to try to figure out what this little Buddha looking guy wants by his grunts and cries. I can't even figure out what I want for myself most of the time let alone some other guy. Take today for example we have been home all day working on stuff at the house (you know dishes, laundry, dirty floors, attempting to take shower) and Logan is MISERABLE - will not stop crying and wants to nurse every 10 minutes. So after a good 2 hours of this I thought I would call Andrew just to let him know how fun my day was going and how big my headache was at this point. Thank God for husbands he just kept telling me it would be alright and to call my mom or his mom - WOW didn't think of that! next call to my mom to which she reminds me that Logan likes loud noises and to go and finally blow dry my hair. Okay at this point I will try anything - Logan loved the noise and relaxed. never would have guessed it! See how mom's know it all - again my new found respect for all moms. You are all awesome! So now I just need a travel blow dryer for Logan - the scary thing is that
I hope he does not grow up to be a hair dresser.

A big thank you to Logan's grandmas!! Now that we are on our own and the Grandma's have gone home, Logan has decided that he must be held to go to sleep. I am going to blame this on Laura and my mom, they were both here and loved holding their little guy so much that he can't sleep with out them. I tried to just put him down for a nap today and that did not work! I had to rock him and hold him before I could get him to sleep. So at three weeks old I am already undoing the things he has learned from his grandmas!! Just kidding he misses you both - he would much rather have both of you here then deal with his boring old mom who just puts him down to sleep!

A King is Born!

Logan Allen King debuted into the world on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:13pm. Weighing in at 7lbs 11oz, measuring 20.5 inches long. Mom, Dad, Chill & Logan are all doing great - we got to come home Thursday at 5:00pm. Logans grandparents have been here to see him and they are all already wrapped around his little finger!!

Preparing for Parenthood

Let me start by telling everyone that I love our animals!
On to my morning... We finally made the decision to get Chill fixed, we only been talking about it for over a year! So today was the big day and I figured while i was going to the vet i should have Oprah the cat fixed too - makes sense then i only have to make one trip and we will not have kittens. I realize that I will need help transporting both the cat and the dog in the car .... what to do ... I have it ... i'll get one of those boxes that they send you home from the SPCA with! Okay now that I have transportation figured out - this will be easy!

WOW!! I was wrong! I put Oprah in her box and put Chill in the front seat of the truck, we're all in and ready to! I pull out of our driveway and call Andrew to tell him we are on our way and everything is going great! That was a mistake - no sooner do I hang up is Oprah SCREAMING and Chill barking at her! I just trun the radio up and keep driving (the vet is in a canyon about 20 minutes from our house). Then Oprah starts to push her way out of the box and Chill is attacking her, did I mention that Chill loves to pound Oprah! Great I can see a cat & dog fight in the front seat while I am driving a curvy mountain road. I take Oprah and push her head back into the box and hold it there, use my elbow to shove Chill back into his bed, and continue driving. This goes on for a few minutes until I can not stand the music on my Ipod and have to change songs. Oprah decides to shove her head out again so back to holding her and telling Chill to lay down. Meanwhile I am bending over to keep the cat in the box and the baby is getting squished so he is kicking and moving to try and keep from getting squished - so i am in pain from his beating.

I hope you can all see this image in your head - Lauri driving down a curvy mountain road yelling at Chill, holding Oprahs head down and attempting to change the Ipod. as all of this happens I flash forward to me taking kids somewhere and something simuliar happening! and they say animals don't prepare you for parenthood - maybe they should spend a day with Oprah & Chill!

On a side note everyone is doing great - I think getting fixed was more scary for me then Chill.

Baby Boy King

We had another Dr. Appt yesterday and baby King is doing great! The Dr. said that he is measuring about a week and a half big so that is good! I would be happy with him coming early, as I am done with the pregnant thing! I have included the ultra sound picture from yesterday - the good pictures of his face did not print but here are some others.

The first picture is of his manhood - look at it like he is sitting on a copy machine and making a copy of his manhood and butt!

The second picture is his heart beat - 140 bpm - the Dr. said that was very good and happy with it.

The third picture is of his foot! He is holding his big toe with his hand! Imagine him laying on his back with his foot in his hand!

There were good pictures of his face but Andrew and I could not see it! Grandma Georgia and the Dr. could make it out but Drew & I were lost!

Everything else is good - baby is healthy and happy and beating the heck out of me!

Official Mountain People!

So last week we became official winter mountain people, it snowed like 4 inches at our house. It was so pretty but didn't last long. Chill was not to sure about it in the begining but ended up having a blast! Andrew, Cassie & I were all bummed that we had to go to school and work, we wanted to have a snow day!
